On August 17th and 18th, as part of the program of the 5th National Seminar on Social History Research, Prof. Dr. Ester Liberato Pereira, leader of GEHEF, co-hosted, along with Prof. Ma. Andréia Luciana Ribeiro de Freitas (SEE-MG), the Coordinated Communication Panel "Corporealities and bodily practices: historical, spatial, social, and cultural manifestations."
GEHEF was also represented in this panel on the first day by Pedro Victor Silveira Ferreira, a history master's student from PPGH - Unimontes and FAPEMIG scholar, by Lucas Matheus Araujo Bicalho, a history undergraduate student at Unimontes and BIC-UNI scientific initiation scholar, and by Gabriela Carmona Arantes, a history master's student from PPGH - Unimontes.
Pedro Ferreira presented the paper titled "Representations of the body and sexualities in the O Globo newspaper during the AIDS epidemic (1980-1994)," Lucas Bicalho presented the paper titled "Riding through History: a symbolic representation of the horse in the trophies and sports medals of the Brazilian Army," and Gabriela Arantes presented the paper titled "Ballet and gender relations: the protagonism and oblivion of Bronislava Nijinska (1910-1971)."
Also presenting a paper was Prof. Dr. Alex Sander Freitas, a professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sports (Unimontes). He presented the paper titled "Karate practice and women: reflections on the trajectories of athletes in Montes Claros - MG."
