On February 28, 2024, the public presentation of the Master's Dissertation of João Pedro Mota Salgado, a member of GEHEF and the Sports Memory Center - CEMESP/Unimontes, took place. His dissertation was approved with merit and is entitled "Football as a tool for political contestation: a study on the conflicts between Liverpool FC fans and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (1979-1990)", supervised by Prof. Dr. Laurindo Mékie Pereira, and co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Ester Liberato Pereira, leader of GEHEF.
The examining committee consisted of Professors: Prof. Dr. Georgino Neto (Unimontes); Prof. Dr. Luciano Pereira da Silva (UFMG); and Prof. Dr. Jônatas Marques Caratti (Unipampa).
