Thesis Approval: A Study on Brazilian Olympic Equestrian Sports (1940-1960)

On June 7, 2024, the defense of the master's thesis by Guilherme Carvalho Vieira, a member of GEHEF, took place and was approved within the Graduate Program in History (PPGH) at the State University of Montes Claros (Unimontes). His dissertation, supervised by Prof. Dr. Ester Liberato Pereira, project coordinator, is titled "Between the uniform and the horse: a figuration of equestrian sports as an Olympic sport in Brazil (1940-1960)" and received support from FAPEMIG.


The examining board consisted of: Prof. Dr. Janice Zarpellon Mazo, full professor at the School of Physical Education, Physiotherapy and Dance (ESEFID) and the Graduate Program in Human Movement Sciences (PPGCMH) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre/RS; and Prof. Dr. Rafael Dias de Castro, professor in the Department of History and the Graduate Program in History (PPGH) at the State University of Montes Claros (Unimontes).
